Out with the old…

We have recently bought a new set of drawers for the girls room. This has allowed me to do a couple of things:

Refold and arrange all their clothes and

get rid of clothes that they hardly ever wear or have outgrown.

When I say “get rid of” I mean either hand down to the younger sibling (so glad I had two girls!) or donate/sell.

Clearing this way also means that the new clothes, which I’m sure Santa will bring, now have room to live.

There are also other clothes which won’t be leaving us but don’t get worn oftern (not daily drawer often anyway). Things like party dresses and clothes. This is where the trusty Kallax, under bed storage, large boxes in the loft, boxes in the wardrobe comes in.

I do love the Marie Kondo type of tidying so for the past year and a half-ish I have been putting away clothes in this manner. It’s actually really sweet that my girls now love to fold their clothes up. I guess it’s true that children will copy tiding if they see it around them enough! πŸ™‚
