Steventon Fairy Doors

During lockdown 1 we were in need of new fun activities suitable for young children.

As well as needing to be cheap/free they also needed to be outside if we were leaving our home.

One of the loveliest we found were the Fairy Doors in Stevenson Copse.

Around the Copse are about 30 sweet little fairy doors in the tree trunks. These have been made by local residents.

My children were completely in love with these creations and were so excited to see each one.  It really inspired their imagination and they still talk about it now (five months later).

Unfortunately, this area is not wheelchair friendly and the ground is quite uneven. I managed to walk around the copse with the aid of my husband and a walking stick.

There is no car parking and a bit of a walk up hill to reach the copse.

To park please use the church car park. The area is dog friendly but please pick up after your dog 😊

If you are able to take your children it is a very cute afternoon out, which combines exercise and fresh air with what a community can create together.
